CyclAlg Final Event: a meeting for algae treatment industry
Water2REturn was presented at the final event of CyclAlg project on algae treatment which took place on April 14-16 in Pau (France).
CyclAlgis an R+D+i project whose purpose is to develop and validate technological processes which improve the economic profitability and environmental sustainability of the process to obtain biodiesel via microalgae culture. The project has adopted the principles of Circular Bioeconomy and aims to improve the value of microalgae biomass via efficient use of resources and lengthening the lifespan of waste.
The event connected technological centers and other projects’ consortia and institutions working with algae, agriculature and wastewater treatment, like HAO-Demeter (Hellenic Agricultural Organisation – Demeter, Greece), MICROGATE project: Use of microalgae to mitigate nitrogen pollution from agricultural wastewaters (PoliMi, Italy), TOTAL S.A. – France, INCOVER Project: Innovative Eco‐ Technologies for Resource Recovery from Wastewater (UPC, Spain), Saltgae, LIFE AlgaeCan & Water2Return (AlgEn, Slovenia).
AlgEn CEO Robert Reinhardt orally presented the Water2Return project focusing in the algae line in which they works.
